Well that was a brief enjoyment.
My father crashed my Landcruiser today. Trying to avoid a head on collision on a single track road he went with the front into a big hedge and the other car crashed into the rear driver side.
Damage (as far as (can see):
Front: bumper, passenger side headlight, indicator and mirror
Rear: wheel arch dented in, rear bumper pushed to passenger side, exhaust broken, foglight brocken, top tailgate does not shut, pieces of the other car are sticking in the tyre and the bolt which holds the body on the chassis is missing. There might obviously damage to the drive/ suspension, but I did not drive it after the accident.
The car goes in the insurance garage tomorrow. When I phoned the garage and told them my umber plate (K239MAS) he said "private plate", me:"no k reg", he:" aha, write off then".
My only worry now is, how much is the insurance going to pay out and where can I get a new one? I hope the insurance pays out Chequered Flag prices then.
btw. I filled the car up with diesel yesterday. How can I get it out? I tried a hose, but do not seem to get it deep enough in the tank. After about 1.2 meters the hose does not get in any further, I suppose there must be a bend.
