My 100 batteries have built in lights indicating their states of charge but there is nothing in the manual telling me how to read them. Does anyone know. They are the original 2004 batteries.

Thanks
Frank

Hi Frank

The reason nothing is said in the handbook is its down to the battery manufacturer, different battery's have different meanings.

But I would not take any notice of them any way, as it is only on one cell, and you could have another cell down, the best way is to check with a hydrometer (if you can remove the caps) a good quality voltmeter, and a old fashioned drop tester (or the new type electronic tester)

Thanks Steve
Will do as you suggest. I can get the tops of. They are well chewed so previous 1 owner obviously was a bit obsessed and looked after them well.
