After much discussion and many options;

Leafy, Foresty, Broccoli, Greene, Bushy, Froggy, Toady etc.

The kids have decided that the new truck is to be called;

SWAMPY

Nice truck, The name suits it. Still not named mine a year down the line lol.

I like the name too! Well suited :lol: I too haven't named my truck in all of the 7 years I've had it. It's been called a few things mind you, but not officially named anything (yet!). :lol:

Well, although I've never named any Cruiser or any other car one truck I have has inherited an identification, that being the Chevy Suburban. Known to Al and myself as "the Starship" or "The Enterprise" for its size, ability to travel long distances in comfort without refuelling.

I thought the 100 was pretty big but.....

It will scrape 700 miles on a standard tank but if you have the factory long range option you can get more than 1k miles out of a tank.
Anyway its a diversion, this is a LC site.

Andy

Very handsome cruiser Steve. Nice one. (PS. don't change wheels to silver, it will spoil the look IMHO)

Lovely colour, very suitable name and as Lazz says black wheels suit the trucks colour. :thumbup:

Thank you Gary :) You should give yours a name it's a lot of fun :)

Welcome along Swampy :)
Thanks Gary :) I've been lurking for a while now and have loads of questions :icon-smile: :icon-wink:

Cheers Clice :icon-biggrin: You too should name your truck, its a lot of fun. Perhaps we should have a truck naming section :)

Blimey Andy :icon-eek: You've got some length there m8 :p :icon-smile: :icon-wink: I bet that's interesting to park at the supermarket :lol:

Thank you :icon-smile: Im very pleased with her :icon-biggrin: She could do with a good T-cut though. There is a plan in place with regards the wheels. The steel modulars on her are not black, but are Gun Metal and could do with a bit of a tidy up. I had a quote to get them powder coated black but this was more money than just buying new ones :icon-eek: More to come on this as I've sourced some replacement wheels and they want be silver :icon-biggrin:

Thank you Chas, I like the colour tooooo :icon-biggrin:

Black wheels and the 285 tyres seem to be the most popular combo coming from everyone :icon-biggrin: :icon-wink:

Yep Steve I think the 285's are the best choice for 90% road 10% off road, if you were on a farm doing a lot of off road driving I would have said the other way round. I tried both sizes myself last winter (on an 80) and on the road I found the 285's gave me more confidence on the tarmac, especially if you were pressing on a bit, but in snow and mud the 255's edged it in grip.

Andy

I want to name mine "creaky" or "clunky" at the moment. Had new castor adjustment and ARB bushes fitted and now she's creaking and clunking when she feels like, it's very annoying!

I need to get under and check that they're tight before I take it back to service. Any other suggestions? Wrong thread really, just having a moan :angry-screaming:

Sorry! :icon-cry:

Mmmmmmmmm..........thought I'd made my mind up what width tyres to go with and now I'm right back up on that fence again :? :icon-smile:

I think I still prefer the wideboys but the skinnys aren't as offensive as I first thought they were going to be...

Tricky...

A few photos :icon-smile:

The first photo I took of her just after shaking hands on her with Doug on the Monday :icon-smile:

And here's a few of her just after I picked her up from Doug's secure compound the following Saturday :icon-smile:

Some comparison photos of Fiery and Swampy on the Sunday after getting her home :icon-smile:

IMG_7082_zps9f53cf0f.jpg

Here i'd lined up the fronts and side mirrors so I could get a comparison photo between a 90 and a 95 Colorado/Prado length :icon-smile:

Then gave her a bloody good pressure wash as she'd not been done since her visit to Lincomb :|

Oh and removed all of the stickers and GX badges :icon-smile:
