Tough Dog Shocks - your thoughts?

I was planning to put Koni Rallye Raid shocks on the cruiser, and whilst these are adjustable this can only be done by disconnecting one end and twisting the shaft......not easily done in the field.

So I'm looking at alternatives with an adjusting screw or dial. I'm running a 2 inch lift/285/75 R16s and will be doing thousands of miles of washboard so heat dissipation and reliability will be key. The truck will be at full 'overland' weight.

A number of options but my I have my eye on a set of Tough Dog shocks.

45mm for the rear

and the "Ralph" model for the front (recommended) although the 45mm may do.

The Ralph is not manually adjustable but has rate sensing valving - which I'm not entirely convinced about.
Has anyone got any experience of these products and particularly rate sensing valving

Thanks in advance

Remote reservoir shocks are a good thought......pricey though. I've heard that remote res shocks are tricky to set up for overland use being better suited to the regular build/re-build of racing/extreme vehicles.

Anybody have experience of rate-sensing valving?
