Many on here have criticized it when the photo went around 3 or 4 years ago.

I like it and these are the headlights I want Shayne ...:icon-biggrin:

I chanced upon it while looking at winches i'm not into bling but somehow that works for me :icon-cool:

I just want those headlights, he can keep the rest

My next upgrade after engine rebuild is exterior....Mind made up with this 60 series conversion....Looks awesome.0503168A30140605W00101.jpg

Love the look personally , the problem is it takes away the reason to own a Land Cruiser. That would not look like that after a few off road excursions :icon-biggrin:. Having said that the locals use 'contact' parking here so it would not be long before it got a few bruises, I would be frightened to park it anywhere, my Jaguar (sold a few years back :icon-cry:) was a show winner but I was forever worrying about it, even the insurance company specified a particular padlock on the garage where it was kept!

@Clive, headlights similar to those were available in Germany quite cheaply last year but I enquired with Spanish inspectors and they were not CE marked and would not have passed the yearly inspection....basta*ds!

regards

Dave

Looks good, but is it me or do those headlights look a bit like (dare I say it) Range Rover classic units??

That's not such a problem for me. I've got HIDs at the moment and I have to swap ot the bulbs for the test. But the test is every 2 years, so it's not such a problem.

I could keep the OEMs for test time.

Are they still available, because I'd have them at a glance. The "Angel Eye" version from the states is currently at $1200 or similar, when I had seen them for much less a couple of years back.

And the 60? I wouldn't have believed it! Purists wouldn't like it I imagine, but I think it looks just fine, a beautiful job.

Big black beauty!!!!!! Love it, the grill totally changes the beast, I think it actually enhances the shape of the body style, the absolute simplistic style, this changes a genuine icon, not easily done, some people are gifted with flair and imagination to dream up something like this, I want one!!
Best regards to all, Billy Westley,

I agree the lights add such bold character to the 80 series, simple but effective. I always love the look of the 60 series but the build quality of the 80 with comfort being important too. I plan to get the light surrounds, grill & specialised lights that are a bit pricy but well worth it. ( will post lights later) more pictures to come. ;-)

Love that "60" look for the front of the 80 series - even though the light units do look like those off a classic RR.
