Hi , just joined the forum and also recently purchased my first Prado , a 1999 3.4 RV6 , the vehicle came with a 9000lb winch but only road tyres has 282K's and seems to run and drive very well . I have previously owned 75 series diesel Troopcarriers and know their capabilities but the Prado is an unknown performer by my accounts , and now with the wet season commencing mud and water will be prevalent in the tropical top end and the Prado will surely get a work-out , the road tyres being the negative factor .
