Hi All,

I would like to fit 285?70R17 to my 202 LC.

Do they fit with the stock suspension?
Would a Strut Spacer be enough?
What is the minimum lift required if any?
Any experience with 33 on LC 200

you input is very much appreciated.

Hi Stefan

I think you would be ok fitting that size tyre to your 200 without any modifications to the Suspension. There are a fair few chaps on Lcool who have fitted those tyres without any major if any upgrades to there susepenion.

I personally have a 2012 gxl update with ARB Gvm upgrade done.I have the 100 kg rated springs in the front plus the spacer which gives a 25 mm lift and a 20 mm lift in the rear with the 200 kg rated springs. I have 285/65/17 ST Maxx Tyres and have a shed load of room in the wheel wells.

Something to keep in mind with regards to lift on the 200 is the cv angles. Once you start going above 25 and up toward 50 mm lift and onward there is a remote possibility that depending on how hard you push the CV joints 4wding you may smash them. This was one reason why i stayed with a 25 mm lift in the front. Have a look on LCOOL. There is some good info on there.
Cheers
Beno
