Don't rely on GPS if near Faraid Head and Loch Ewe in NW Scotland 5-16th Oct
GPS trackers will be jammed at popular hiking spots during a major Nato exercise involving the Army, Royal Navy and the RAF.
The military will block satellite signals at Faraid Head and Loch Ewe between October 5 and October 16 during Operation Joint Warrior.
Mountaineering Council of Scotland chief officer David Gibson warned hikers to be aware of the jamming and cautioned against relying on GPS.
