I have a standard 105 series and am in need of some new boots .
Don't want to replace with standard road tyres and am looking for a more aggressive look .

But equally don't want to ruin the quietness on a motorway journey .

my budget is around £140ish a tyre
I found the

hankook dyna pro mud tyre 69db £121 a tyre
Bfg all terrain Ko2 73db £128 a tyre

What i want to know is are thoese noise predictions accurate ?
Will the full mud tyre be quieter than the all terrain?

Any advice greatfully accepted

Has to be the BFG AT

Lets see how many folk begin to suggest the many other different tyres.

BFGs seem to be well regarded for performance on and off road and longevity. I've only got experience of road tyres and Cooper Discoverer STTs which are a tad noisier but not by much. I have to say the Hankooks look amazing and their tyres generally are well regarded.

As a rule muds are noisier the an AT tyre so surprised that the specs say other wise. To be honest once you have the windows closed I dought you will hear any difference. I dont hear my tyres with the windows closed and I have km2s.

Tyre choice is personal really some people say are good I don't like and vice versa.

Bob, having had BFG ATs and Hankook DynaPro's I can confirm the Hankooks are indeed quieter on the road.

That is all needed to know .. quiet is what I'm looking for first of all

I too have had both in 285's and have got BFG A/T's on now due to them being quieter, ( Hankooks are for sale BTW)
If it was me I would be going for the new BFG A/T KO2. I've head they are reasonably priced bought online.

My BFG muds are considerably noisier than the General Grabber AT's.

I can't imagine any AT being noisier than the muds, TBH.
