I don't have any constructive comments, but I can't say how much I'm enjoying this thread by simply hitting the like button!
I can't help thinking that the ideal set-up would be the driver sitting on the back axle with the engine being central (mid) to the axles.
Strangely this is similar to your set-up Ryan, despite how odd it may look. It's only odd looking because the Cruiser wings are suggesting the front axle is too far forward, which I don't necessarily think it is, relative to the weight it's carrying.
@clivehorridge Hey Clive, gotta say that means a lot to me that you are enjoying it. Activity in the thread is a little light but I think that's because it's in unknown territory of sorts on the forum.
Completely agree with you on the wheel base and getting the weight as central as possible.
The more I'm getting into this the more I am realising I need to cut more and build more from scratch. I have been toying with the idea of ditching the stock cab and firewall altogether and go for a tubular frame on the chassis. I could then move the fender forward to maintain that cruiser look and a small semblance of proportions whilst ditching a load more unneeded weight. I keep telling myself, racecar first, aesthetics second.
