Hi Tack,
I am looking at this as well.
I have a HZJ75 with only the front seats and I know that the 75 comes inthree floor pans. (2 front seats, 5 seats or eleven).
In my case there is no mounting point available so I would have to make the amendments myself. You can score all parts. One of...
I see,
Have you set this up that the input comes immediately from the alternator and than both the starter and the leisure battery are charged via the DC DC charger? I am just wondering if a DC DC charger makes sense on an old vehicule with a simple alternator (no EURO 6 alternator ) where your...
Sorry to be asking this stupid question, but why would you actually want to have a DC DC charger for the leisure battery? I just have the starter connected to the leisure battery via a cyrix which is a lot cheaper.
Thanks in advance!
You don't think that charge at this high amperage for a long time will put a lot of strain on the alternator, even such a big one as yours?
Also are you so far just planning on connecting it directly or are you using a charger for it? The question is, if you have a good BMS do you actually even...
Hi Grant,
Any progress on this topic? I am also looking into this option from the same seller.
My current concerns are:
Using it as a leisure battery and charging it not only with solar but also with the alternator. I believe the alternator puts out to much current for the packs. Also I read...
Congratulations Dave! Great buy! Let us know what you think of it!
Crazy to hear that the shipping + VAT add so much to the price! Always better to have some local conatct point in case something would go wrong!
Exactly Karl! We did talk about your tent!
I am keeping an eye on the website of Big Country as I was thinking to order the tent immediately from there. Now I notice this tent from Tuff Trek and it does look even better but the price is also a bit steeper. To be fair, I do not yet have an idea...
Where would one buy the big country awning? Are they deliverable in the UK?
Any idea about how they cope in the wind? I have a regular awning from Djebel line and it flipped with wind, made me want to replace is with a proper one from fiamma. Would be interested to see how this one really is!
Thanks Ben, I'll have a look into the Sikaflex offering!
PS: With regards to my comment about panels being glued I wasn't so clear, I wanted to specify that in current cars panels are often glued. Obviously the 70 series is not one of those :D
Great pictures! Seems like a great trip!
On one pic I see lot's of vehicles (including a bus), I originally imagined you wouldn't see to many cars, but is this not the case?
I also rebuild the front and back axles on the 75 two years ago when they mentioned there was some play on a bearing during the MOT. I am no mechanic at all, and I must say that this felt like doing brain surgery for me . At the end I was really happy to have done it, was a great...
Maybe another question for the body work experts here:
I was thinking to install the previously mentioned retainers for installing the rear seats. Eventually there will be a metal bar installed over the floor pan onto the assembly, which will be squeeze the floorpan.
So I am wondering, is it...
