    Yep. Will only fit an 80. 100 series are slightly different casting shape. Also the boss diameter is smaller on a 100. Same splines but smaller.

    put a gearbox in it. the oil pump will be damaged. tc will not fix this alone. best bet would be karls box. then a separate transmission cooler large as you can. common problem this is. check the flexplate for cracking. seen this lots of times. if you do fix the box you will need an oil pump...

    be careful just replacing the pump. you may find you have underlying issues which caused the pump failure.

    1hdfte will make the noise if they are wrong. just to a lesser extent due to combustion pressure rise rate. you are right though all the 1hd family do this to a greater or lesser extent. including my 1hdft, but to be fair thats due its tappets and injectors to be done @270k

    valve clearances, injector calibration. Pump timing. All effects the way they run. BEB are only one thing that makes them tick but thats a ticking time bomb so as long as they are done you will be ok. hope you used new rod bolts.
