Why not just turn it off there is a switch to do this when the ignition is on, it will reset to on when you turn the ignition off so will have to use the switch each time, also if you put the factory lockers on it will automatically disable traction control, so i cant see why you would need to...

Question was the gearbox slipping before you did the fluid change? If not did you use the correct fluid for the box as in the right viscosity and or mineral, semi synthetic, full synthetic if you used synthetic that could be the problem otherwise you may have to get the gearbox serviced
do you have a pic of your truck with bull bar ? Side rails will depend on a few different things, you will need to measure size or pipe used, also length between bulbar and side step.
