    Access to rear suspension tops?

The cut is made at the shoulder of the chrome ram where the thread protrudes upwards from. Once through, the remainder above will be free. Best undo the two bolts beforehand to free hose from top of shock. Those two bolts are a pain to undo and refit, but I found were accessible with a long...

    Advice on Techstream scanner

Yes Karl, it allows code reading and I saw an ABS test and brake bleed feature on it, so hopefully, it will allow me to fix the fault.

    Advice on Techstream scanner

Doh ! on a clear day, I manage to spot the 16 pin OBD socket, facing the wrong way, hiding behind itself ! Happy and embarrassed, to say the least. Plugging in gives me 'C1256 - Hydraulic accumulator pressure too low' So I guess I'm going to be up for a new pump and accumulator, if not a...

    Advice on Techstream scanner

Deffo sold in UAE as well as Japan, I have all the UAE documents from new, (RHD). The amount of parts held in UAE on megazip for these cars seems to back this up. I am waiting for an adaptor to convert 22 pin to decide whether my current Bosch system will talk or I will buy a techstream, should...

    Advice on Techstream scanner

Thanks for all your input guys. On the OBD2 port subject, my 100 is a 2000 year Cygnus from UAE, I have looked under dash for 16 pin port, but not seen one yet, is it likely to not have such a beast, bearing in mind the market it was made for ?

    Advice on Techstream scanner

Hi, I have read a few posts where it is recommended to use a Toyota Techstream scanner/reader. Can I ask for any recommendations for where to buy such a tool from please ? I want to use it on either a 2000 year 100 with the 22 pin socket, ( I have a 22 pin to OBD2 adaptor ), or a 2005 120 . Any...

    Replacing the Diesel Filler Pipe:

I did consider doing this, but avoided it to save any protective paint put over it before fitting. Good to know that it makes the job easier, it seemed to be the main cause for being unable to get past the tight fit of the body and chassis

    Introduction

Hi, I am new to this forum too, I have a 2000 year manufacture Cygnus, ( Amazon from UAE ), I have been going through various tasks before a full underseal job. One of those was to decide what to do with the AHC. I decided to keep it, and have currently replaced all four shocks with OEM units...

    Replacing the Diesel Filler Pipe:

Having read this article, I successfully removed old pipe with no bolt breakage, thankfully, will put some decent paint on new pipe prior to fitting. Thanks for a great informative article to help complete such an arduous task :))

    Dash above the clocks splitting

I use auto glym vinyl and rubber care to keep the plastic in as good as poss condition, and always cover up if sun bearing down on it when possible. That gear I have used when restoring 70's motorcycles, and it definitely improves plastic and rubber parts, so i thought use it, been good to date
