    Main Headlights Electrical Issue

Ok, so I took out the screws at the front of the dash (facing the driver) but couldnt get the actual dash off - like its stuck towards the windscreen. Is there a catch there that Im missing? Feel like such a dumbass lol sorry! The light has flickered on intermittently between switching states...

    Main Headlights Electrical Issue

Hmm, yeah i suppose so, good thinking! :-) the thing is it used to flash intermittently between switching - kind of halfway point - so I know the bulb is ok. Or was a week ago, it has since stoped flashing intermittently ha ha although it could be the bulb, and I will have to check, I think its...

    Main Headlights Electrical Issue

Hi Talaman, Oh that is very interesting. The guy I bought it from installed halogens which are lovely and bright vut that could well be it - I would be bloody surprised if my 93 had a CANBUS but will double check on the electric diagrams. If thats the case can you tell me more of what you did...

    Main Headlights Electrical Issue

Hi All, I have an electrical issue with my 93 Troopy which am hoping to get some help with involving the dash indicator light for the main headlights. Whilst I can actually turn the lights on, the blue light on the dash remains dormant. The problem is that I can't tell when my lights are on full...

    Troopy Front Rotors

Will with my vast experience I can tell you that....I didn't do it! After taking days to even loosen the damn bolts on the calipers and then bleeding the brakes, I'd had enough and wanted the job done this side of 2019. So I got someone else to do it. Besides, I didn't have the tools at the time...

    Solar Problems

Yes for one, the other looks in the same condition but will test it anyway once I can get to the junction box. I had a chat with the technical team that supply the flexible solar panels in the first place and they asked whether the panels were glued and said that'd be the problem (as I...

    Solar Problems

Yeah thats what I feared - that it wont give me any access at the back. Its the junction box or nothing i think...but if that doesnt work i'll have to remove the panels anyway. Yeah i checked at the controller, thats what started the whole operation . . .0.77V. At the junction box though its 0V...

    Solar Problems

Would assume that a beep test would detect whether the circuit is broken or not...which leaves me the option of taking it apart and seeing if there is a disconnect at the back..although, can you see that (or even do anything about that) with flexible panels?

    Solar Problems

Well am currently getting 0V, Id love 18V! :-) will see if I can take one of the panels off to test if its got any loose connections at the front. After I get all the silicon out of the junction box as id be gutted if the problem was there. There is a diode I think within the junction box...

    Solar Problems

Think the last guy was worried someone would steal them, which given where I intend on taking the vehicle, that may not be bad advice. Certainly living in Melbourne I have come back to see a footprint on my bonnet before (I was outraged!). I like the sound of Silkaflex, will have a look. As to...

    Pipe or Valve?

I have two tanks set-up for my Troopy and the main tank joins the rear about where the drivers door is. It has leaked diesel for some time so thought I'd put an end to it and after some rummaging found diesel was leaking between a metal pipe welded in the middle of the vehicle. I've by-passed it...

    Solar Problems

Had wondered the same thing but think the cells connect in series vertically and horizontally, not diagonally....BUT what the hell do I know?! ha ha it is certainly possible they could be shorting. Think they are metallic and unsure how far they go down - the panels sit on a foam which itself...
