    Rear door lock broken

My driver's side rear wouldn't open from the inside a few years back. OK from the outside and I think the lock button went up and down OK. The rod from the inside handle was slightly bent on inspection, straightening it back was just enough to restore normal operation. I thought it was the child...

Electric Headlamp Adjust when loaded - help needed pls?

I know there are two options on replacement headlights, one with and one without the electric adjuster. Has one light been replaced with a non-adjuster unit? Otherwise I guess it's just bust.

    Freewheeling hubs

If you did manage to fit them and tried to pull away in normal high range mode on the transfer box the car wouldn't move at all; it would be the same as if the front wheels were lifted in the air and all the drive would be taken up spinning the front drivetrain with nothing going to the rear. If...

    Replacement manifold/exhaust options for VZJ95 with 3.4V6 (5VZ-FE)

The "Y" section on mine is welded to the cat, so if the £750 includes a new cat that is quite cheap as the best price I got was £1200 for that part from the local Toyota dealer with a 25% discount (Amayama worked out dearer). I might be worth finding a good welder; it's amazing what they can do...

    Gear box and oil

And yes, gearbox and transfer box are separate. If you have a locker it won't be a Limited Slip Diff. LSDs are supposed to have a tag on them declaring such or it is possible to tell by jacking and checking wheel rotation on each side of the axle. Don't think front diffs were ever LSD.

Programming a replacement remote fob on a 3.0TD version Colorado

Many thanks to knicko for the original post, helped me considerably today. I had to reprogram a remote fob after I had left the battery out of it for three weeks while I replaced one of the switches that had become "sticky". Took a couple of pictures of the elusive green reset button...

    Tow bar electrics

There is a multiplug in the near-side rear. It can be accessed through the jack/tool panel just by the rear door, it is cipped to the wiring loom. I doubt you'll find a matching connector easily but at least most of the wires you need are in one spot.

    Ignition barrel headache

I recommend removing some or all of the split wafers in the lock as it fixed mine three years ago. Most people seem to replace the whole lock for some reason. I followed this guys Youtube video, the only difference was I drilled out the pin to avoid breaking the face plate like he did.

Welcome to the forum. The door lock operation with the key sounds normal, only one door opens. The dreaded top tube leak - 5VZFE

Best oil for 3.4 petrol 90 series?

I use Halfords semi-synthetic 10W-40 in my 190k mile petrol Colorado. It's frequently on offer for around £15 for 5 litres. LC90 front windscreen rubber

Thanks Tony. I've been having a go this morning. The sunroof is OK and it was definitely the windscreen rubber at the top of the screen that leaked. Thanks for the update, nice to see a result. I don't use mine any more as the remote packed up, so just use the key.
