We're doomed Capt Mainwaring, we're doomed!

Reminds me of the post master who was convicted and committed suicide . That of course was a computers fault nobody elses .

    On this day in history

I was to young to have much interest in politics through the Thatcher years but for better or for worse she came with a plan and enacted it without the benefit of hindsight earning global respect as the Iron Lady for doing it . We can only hope that somewhere in the future such strength of...

    Driveshafts

There's the tenuous link maybe , worn cushions are typically to blame and in driveshafts grease is the cushion .

We're doomed Capt Mainwaring, we're doomed!

Beware of the skynet On the bright side it allows for a billion working hours to be paid per day to people who do nothing useful at all .

    Driveshafts

Depends on what you call backlash i suppose , for me its a feeling which triggers all senses but none in particular . A dry dog clutch on a fishing boat winch feels awful but the same greased feels fluid - and its open and visible so it shouldn't really make any difference whatsoever given there...

What to do after Prado was locked away for over 1.5 years.

Personally i'd just turn the key and drive away expecting a few minor oil leaks that will fix themselves once the oil heats up .

Can't seem to find the coolant block drain valve.

I can't actually remember but i think i removed the airbox pipe and did it from the top ? Just had a quick look at my truck for you and the drain plug is pretty much inbetween the Y created by your injector fuel pipes , 13mm maybe .

Can't seem to find the coolant block drain valve.

Draw a line between pump and filter and the nut is there somewhere on the flat behind/alongside injector fuel pipes . Thermostat won't matter when emptying but if you don't know how old it is then its worth putting a new one in just for peace of mind , its not as awkward to get at as it seems .

    And.......breathe

Worst case scenario some have welded a nut onto buggered plugs just to get it out .

Can't seem to find the coolant block drain valve.

Its bronze i think so breaking it isn't much of a worry fact is its just a slow way to drop coolant and if you open it after pulling a pipe off the radiator you might fill a thimble with whats left . Can't remember if my original radiator had a drain tap on the bottom same as my new one but...

Can't seem to find the coolant block drain valve.

Yeah hes in the Isle of Man where you buy a provisional at the post office when your 16 and actually start thinking about a driving or motorbike licence if your still alive when your 21 . There's your answer I didn't have a licence when i bought my first 90 i just see it and thought i'm having that . The mrs insisted it was insured to drive home which cost me about 1200 . That halved when i passed my test on a 2 day crash course a couple of weeks later . Take her off it , get...

We should bear in mind Chas only sold the Phoenix because health issues meant he couldn't use it like he once did and nobody needs a HGV to pop down the shop for a pint of milk . In the same predicament i wonder what lunacy i might buy as an occasional daily driver that might replace that...
