    Expert Opinions Wanted --Apply Within

LC4 does not have the fancy stuff either. Was just the 5. Those seats look recovered. I would have through they would have had cream plastic surrounds. Still, if the quality feels and looks ok, nothing wrong with it. Some 120 leather would be looking tired by now anyway.

    Expert Opinions Wanted --Apply Within

Did this model have the seized brakes issue on the front callipers? Each fix and not too costly if DIY (I have a seal kit I shall never use if you wanted it!) but could be bargaining tool to get it price down a bit.

We're doomed Capt Mainwaring, we're doomed!

Interesting video on fuel injection Highlights a lot of what's been said how the first attempt(s) at changing anything from mechanical this-is-the-best-it'll-ever-be systems to electrical and the bumps faced along the way.

Exactly that. Sadly, because of speed to market, competition and budget, you end up breaking a few things in the early phases.

Careful with the friends thing :icon-lol: Friend: I have the check-engine light come on. Can you use that gismo to tell me what it means? Me: Yes, Yes, I could. Checks and tells friend. Friend: Can you clear it? Me: Urm, sure, but that's not a resolution. Friend in 2 weeks: It's come back. Why...

Install Land Cruiser Club as an app on computer, phone or tablet

I've just had a look Andy - it seems iPad is slightly different. You can add to home screen as a shortcut but that still opens in Safari. Chrome, on the iPad, seems a bit better according to the posts I've read. Let me dig into it a bit more on the kid's ipad and see (I don't know much about them)

Worth Buying a Cheapo OBD2 Scanner? Would it Even Work With Earlier Model Colorados / Prados?

Not always. Mine gave loads of codes on the 150 but never had the light come on. Guess they were more "warnings" than issues.

Worth Buying a Cheapo OBD2 Scanner? Would it Even Work With Earlier Model Colorados / Prados?

I bought a cheapie one off ebay like this one This, along with the Torque app on your phone (paid-for version) works quite well. It's hit and miss on the 55 and earlier diesels. It did not work on my 50 plate 120.

Whining noise from transfer gear case

But not gears though. Doesn't sound like the case is empty, dry seal or something else rubbing on the propshaft. Does it change tone if you go into low or lock the diff?

Whining noise from transfer gear case

There is actually a problem with uploading large files directly from the phone. I will look into it. Best option for now is to stick them on youtube and share from there. If you can hear it when turning the wheel by hand then it might be quite bad as there is no load at that point. If you're...

Maybe they didn't upgrade their software because they did not think an upgrade was needed. We will always be increasing reliance on IT and electronic systems. April 2021 Upgrade - Whoops

Well, we did an upgrade this morning and suffice to say, it did not all go well. The upgrade itself went fine, the post-upgrade tasks utterly broke it. Everything was a mess and looked a bit like a Defender after a short journey :) Sadly, the restore of the backup did not fix it either for...
