Summer Pub Cruiser Chillout 24 - 26 July

Totally agree, I’ve got nothing against popping him a few quid even if the pubs shut, end of the day it’s his land and he’s been good enough to allow us to stay on it.

    Getting to Sweden

Per my chat with a bloke at the port (the number I got from google), basically it "needs to look freight" and you need commercial insurance but he didn't seem to have a clue really.

Was this you crossing into Bolivia?

For the money, they seem "good enough" and easy to fix. I'm very tempted to get an "adventure" bike now, not had a bike for years.

    Yet another 80 build thread

As I'm waiting on a part for my rock slider build (flanged nuts), I've made a high lift jack mount for the spare wheel. I had it mounted to the roof but wasn't really happy with having that mounted there. So quickly knocked up amount, using some M8 bolts, M12 bolts, some 5cm x3m flat bar and...

    Getting to Sweden

Hi As we are all locked in, I've been planning a trip to Sweden. Has anyone used the Immingham to Gothenburg ferry? Seems pricey but nice way to get to Sweden fast with a truck. Also, anyone got any routes or advice? Going to be taking the little on of his first trip abroad as well, can't wait.

Coming to a socket near you.......maybe.

I agree it’s not a good fit for an overlander but hell its a good fit for most builders etc. 99.9% of people don’t know how to fix their own car anyway, so they don’t care or want to know what’s under the bonnet.

    Petrol or Diesel???

For 7k you can get an OK/good 80 diesel, surprisingly you can normally buy at 80 that's had loads of mods done (bullbar, suspension lift etc etc) for less than you can buy a stock one.

    Petrol or Diesel???

The petrol is more "fun" but because of the mileage I want to do in my 80 I couldn't take the fuel economy penalty. The petrol 80's are cheaper to buy because of this but as soon as you do "some" miles the costs of petrol soon removes this advantage. Also, the petrol is less reliable if you...

Maybe a question that can not be answered

I've seen so many "youths" riding around on bikes in big groups. The problem is that some parents' aren't keeping their children indoors because somehow they must be immune and unable to spread the disease. The easiest way to stop this is massive fines and I'm talking a percentage of salary...

    Lithium (LiFePO4) batteries

If you have the battery power, I'd get one of those 12v heated blankets and wrap them around your water tanks, wack them on a temp switch and have them come on just above freezing, even have them on a voltage sensing relay so then cut off before eating too much power but if you are out of power...

    Lithium (LiFePO4) batteries

My charging setup is a Redarc charger which maxes out at 40amps, I have Victron battery monitor, I sized the Redarc like that because if I charged them at >35 amps you can actually feel the batteries getting toasty.
