Hi Guys asking for a friend.
Has a problem with his central locking intermittently locking and unlocking itself.
New battery fitted to keys a few months ago and has been gradually getting worse.
Checked for loose connections and poor earths.
Model is the one with the higher specs auto box...

I'm lucky enough to have use of a 2 post ramp so I have checked all the bushes thoroughly and found nothing untoward...

Hi I've read various post about the bumping I hear when going over potholes is due to the mount becoming dislodged.
Anyone had the same problem, if so where are the located?
Ones above the axle are obvious as they are in full view....
Could it be a weak spring?
Shocks have been replaced...

Thanks for confident post. The only person stopping me buying a 80 series is me.... everyone i have spoken to who has owned 80s and 100s have all said 80 series was the best at everythng including reliability...so I just have to man.up and buy the right one
I did look at the petrol but when I enquired about mpg returns when towing 3000kgs the figures were not likeable 10 to 15 mpg...where as the diesel is around 20 to 23. Hence why diesel is fuel of choice.
One I'm.looking at the moment also has some serious chassis issues. I only found that out by using the governments MOT checker web site it gives info of all previous mots along with advisories and mileage. This is great link if your looking for providence for any new acquisitions..
Yes I appreciate the values. Luckily I'm a welder of many years experience so I'm quote happy to repair one that has chassis problems, plus I run my own charter boats so also have good knowledge of mechanics. It's just the niggley problems involving electrics etc that I seek answers...
Thanks for reply, guessed it could be the plug..I currently own a Defender 110 but need some luxury hence upgrading to a LC, its difficult to find an older one that is a reasonable price both the defender and the Land cruiser are appreciating in value..

the one i am looking at currently is a 1993, all looks okay but on starting the engine all the lights are on,, looks like a Christmas tree!!! I've been told by owner that he thinks its the alternator !
