Would anyone know where I can get male and female wiring terminals for the electrical /plugs in the uk? I want to replace quite a few corroded terminals/pins.
Hi,
Would anyone know where I can get a set of D4D V8 electrical drawings?
I have a workshop manual. But it does not cover the diesel engine.
Many thanks
In the UK the VX model normally has the factory roof rack. The GX has no roof rack but has plastic strips with blanking plugs above the bolts. Suggest you search for the roof strips for a GX from a breaker. This puts it back to Toyota spec and keeps the water away.
I have got my Cruiser back in buisness. Although it was working fine. Most of my dash lights had gone along with my speedo. Route cause was traced to the leak on the sunroof drain line not connected to the roof properly. Water leaked down the roof pilar and onto the connections. Long story...
The battery light should be bottom left corner and oil light bottom right just of center.
I have dug some more this morning and have found a controller and junction instrument box 82791-60010 above the radio. I think this is the junction conector in the wiring diagram but don't have a pin out...
My Cruiser has a Voltage gauge and oil gauge. Along with a Battery charge light and low pressure oil light.
My battery ,oil and water in fuel filter drain water light are not coming on when I turn the ignition on.
When its running its charging and I have oil pressure.
uHu. Thanks for the diagram. I did check the 10 amp fuse this afternoon. The pin out is completely different. I do suspect it could be something in the kick panel that is the issue. Do you have the oil warning light diagram?
My Alternator charging light, Oil light and filter drain lights have disappeared.
The gauges are still working fine.
My LC 100 is year 2000 4.2 with a auto box and of course as luck would have it my electrical manual is a 2004 petrol LC100.
Would anyone have a link to a early diesel electrical...
Thanks,
I've been here since 2014. I've had nine Landcruisers. 80,90,100 series's auto and manual of them all. Currently 100 series Manual 2001. Sold my 97, 80 Series Manual earlier this week :(
I've tried all the ebay guys. They are either sold or just don't reply to your enquiry.
Thought...
Does anyone know where I can buy a complete hose kit for an 80 Serise with ABS 1997?
I can find people selling individual hoses but not all seven hoses.
I need to change all mine abut am not near the truck at the moment to measure up.
Or pipe sizes and union sizes would work as well.
Thanks
Could anyone give a recommendation on brake down cover for an 80 series in the UK
My lot wont cover me now as they tell me the car is to old at 20 years?
Most don't seam to cover past 15 years old.
Mainly used as a road car. May pull a trailer now and again.
Thanks
Is you new block from Landcruiser or hilux surf? Dipstick on exhaust side = LC. Dip stick on inlet side = Surf.
landcruiser is the the same. Surf block needs to have LC dipstick tube fitted to exhaust side and original hole blanked, the block also needs to be drilled and taped for oil pick up...
Hi Paul I understand what you mean by making it a big project and understand why your doing it. But think before you pay for any machining I think you need to make sure your block and head are good. You could end up doing work on parts that have cracks (head bolts hydraulicing in the blind holes...
Hi Paul. I may have missed something in your thread if i have just ignore me. Have you found the original cause of your coolant loss? If not Might I suggest you find some way to pressure test the water jacket of your block and head before you start to spend money on the engine.
Hi,
Does anyone know if there is an e-petition anywhere against this?
my only real problem against it is if you buy a second hand car the road tax is refunded to the seller for the end of the current month and you the buyer have to pay from the start of the current month. Means two lots of road...
If you have a rear heater behind drivers seat may be worth checking the supply and return pipes to the heater.
Handbrake on chock wheels remove covers. Run engine. Inspect pipes from top right hand rear of engine down to chassis and underneath to the heater. Possible you have a pin hole in the...
Hi Mark,
Their are a couple of things I would suggest you can still try.
Easy thing first. On the hydraulic unit where you fitted the new pump their are two sensors looking from the front.
first one has two wires (temp sensor). Second one has three wires (pressure sensor). With ignition off...
Hi Warren,
thanks for for the post and the details of Burgaflex. Out of interest when you were a Pirtek would they not make what you wanted or were they to expensive?
