try to keep it original as ya can another place for parts is wreckers especialy ones in the bush ive found parts for my bj just driving around an see one in a back yard or in a paddock just call in see if they will sell parts most will some even say you can have it if you tow...
Had this happen to my 2002 gxl 100 series.
bust out the contact cleaner I followed the harness back from alternator break it at the clips and give it a good clean in some spots you need an arm like a brown snake to get at them but it worked for me.

Right on the NT/QLD border about 120km North of camooweal we run onto the musselbrook national park so lots of cleanskins come down into our country and this is how we deal with them.
That's the one I have the pump pully and box the pully will go in behind the fan then you will need to make a mount for the pump as it didn't come with one this is quite easy I made one for mine a few years ago there are only two hoses that run the system a pump hose and return line will take...
Or thermostat cheap way to check is pull it out and put it in boiling water if it doesn't move replace it
used to happen to me when they give up the ghost they restrict the water flow to much

Trying to put photos on my bj has 2h engine taken out of an old hj47 that got parked on its roof this was to replace the original 3b that had a run in with a buffalo (long story) as this was my first engine replacement soon found out that if it was on the left side on a3b it was on the right...
They can be fixed if you find the right mechanic save you a few dollars they have a little bearing in them that can stick it's all that needs replacing that's what happens to mine
Dose anyone know how to remove cover off bj40 windscreen motor I have undone all screws yet it's stuck fast don't want to damage it seemed simple enough job yet won't come off

Hi all I have factory power steering box&pump& double pully will suit bj40 hj47 and fj will bolt straight in know these are hard to find if anyone is interested
