I've got the arb tyre repair kit. Used it a few time already for plugging leaky nails or screws

Who is doing what maintenance today?

The other morning I went out to start the car and noticed that the rear tyre was flat, it turned out that I picked up a nail which was halve bent and gone in just far enough to cause a puncture. Took bloody ages to plug the hole, I just couldn't get the plug to go into the hole. I think it might...

    Land Cruiser 300 Launch

Saw that last night, what I like about it is that Toyota didn't change the shape all that much. It looks very much like the 200 which looks like the 100 which looks like the 80. What I'm trying to say is that I'm happy that Toyota didn't go and make it look silly like some other brands. I...

    Tent Advice Appreciated

We have the zempire tl pro and it's been good for us, we had it in Spain in 40°C sun and Czech Republic in pouring rain and it didn't break a sweat. We do have the extra roof cover and I think it makes a massive difference. While in Spain I forgot to pull out the little rods that keeps the side...

Nice to hear of the good support from a dealer, I have one not 10 minutes from me that hasn't been helpful at all to the point that I now go 40 min out of my way to a dealer that has been brilliant and very supportive. A good dealer makes a big difference. Also good to hear Toyota was on the...

only reverse lights fails. Everything else is working properly

Might there be a small fuse box in the rear compartment where the bottle jack is kept? I can't remember if there is one but I think that is where the cables are connected for the tow socket. It might be worth having a look in there.

Took over a metal fabrication company, what products would you guys like for your cruisers?

I believe its how the KDSS hydraulic lines are attached and running along the chassis. Some of our Australian comrades might be able to explain a bit more.

Took over a metal fabrication company, what products would you guys like for your cruisers?

I agree, front and rear bumpers for us with newer versions. I have been looking for a front bumper replacement for ages but the only option I have is an ARB bumper which is not what I'm looking for. I really like the rival bumper for the 150 but they only have it for the newest face lift, a rear...

    Slow forums

It's not easy to track down an issue like this. There can be a million reasons why it affects only a small percentage of users while the rest has no issues, it might also be that some users don't even see it as an issue. To give an example, even big tech companies have problems with their sites...

Site Upgrade (Something has has nothing to do with COVID-19)

I've noticed it on other xenforo sites as well but I don't really visit them as often as here. It would be nice if xenforo can give us an option to change or disable the keyboard shortcuts. As to the speed of the site, I used to have problems with viglink on the old site. Might this cause some...

    The corona virus thread

I think we generally did well with the first wave of the infection, maybe even a little too well with the NHS just about surviving however and this is my fear, wave 2 of the infection is coming and it's going to be more damaging then the first one. People are already starting to go out for non...

Hi, very nice update and love the clean look, I've always been a fan of clean sites. One small suggestion, would it be possible to make a better distinction between unread and read topics, it might be my eyes but I find it a bit tricky to see topics that have new posts.

    Carreta 1500 model Teardrop Trailer

Ah yes, looks very similar, nice find. I'll definitely put that on my list as an alternative to the Conqueror but Conqueror offers a few more options that might attract the wife. I am planning to go and visit them when we go to South Africa and see what is on offer.

    Rear diff lock

@Gasmanjc you were on the money, they replaced the actuator. They couldn't tell me why it stopped working but going by the video I recon its probably the same reason, luckily the extended warranty covered the costs so I didn't have to pay a thing. I am a bit surprised that it failed, I wonder...

That does looks like a relatively easy fix. I also hope that they will have the parts to fix it. I fear that what ever it is will have to be ordered from Japan as I can't see why Toyota would keep these bits on the shelf.

The other day we went to the beach for a nice lunch at Harry's Shack, a very nice little restaurant and if you ever up that way it's well worth a visit. DPF problems on Hilux and Prado

60k and haven't had any problems with the dpf here either however I do look after it in some way by waiting for it to complete a burn before I turn the car off. It's easy to know when it's doing a burn because on the 150 the rpm at idle goes up and down, when it does a dpf burn the idling rpm is...

So what trips are people going on in 2020

Unfortunately not, I have family all over the Cape so it will be lots of driving but mostly on the black stuff with some gravel roads. I'm still looking at what hire car options there are that will not shake us to bits for the gravel roads with good height for going into some of the game reserves.

70000 mile service done by Toyota today. It is a European style plug, just buy one of those cheap converter plug you see every where. Can I replace 18" wheels with 17" 2013 150 lc5?

I think the Australians has said that they got 17x7.5" +15 to fit. The LC5 has KDSS I think and this is where the problem lies, not the calipers. At the moment I'm running 265/65r18 and I'm happy with them.
