Q: Front pseudo-diff-lock with an ABS (or a retrofit A-TRAC)

Hi all, Once again - I ask you to join me on this mental exercise - maybe to benefit us all. Front lock differentials being priced over 1000€ for 90 - I wonder if an ABS system can be used to create brake pressure on individual wheel that's freely spinning WITHOUT applying brake pedal...

Q: Diff ratios - considering SAS Front axle from 80 series

Hi all - so an update and a mental excercise I've checked mine and its R17 - so its 4.3:1 ratio. I've also noticed that the drive shaft is actually offset to the left side of the engine - so theoretically - It might be possible to get a Patrol GU front diff assembly with its 4.3 diff ratio -...

Q: Diff ratios - considering SAS Front axle from 80 series

Shayne - do you have the actual dimensions of the tire? I was considering either Cooper STT PRO 315/75R16 which is sitting somewhere at 87cm height or to go nuts and get INSA TURBO K2 MT - 285/75 R16 which actual height is 84,5 cm

Q: Diff ratios - considering SAS Front axle from 80 series

So based on the fact that I'll probably won't be able to determine the actual diff ratio of my car - it's pointless to consider front axle only swap then. Both patrol axles then.

Q: Diff ratios - considering SAS Front axle from 80 series

Noted, thanks. Provided the ratios are the same example - 4.1:1 to 4.1:1 OR close enough like 4.1:1 to 4.11:1 - do you think the centre diff and ride would be OK?

Q: Diff ratios - considering SAS Front axle from 80 series

Hello 90 owners! I am currently in process of disassembling and rebuilding entire front suspension (and rear aswell) - new arms, ball joins, bushings, springs, struts ... Knuckle stays. We've had a discussion lately regarding the longetivity of the newly rebuilt IFS with 35" on - and an idea...

2 icnh o 3 inch lift kit lc 90 prado

I have mine disassembled atm - bought 2" Dobinsons with additional 1" strut spacers in front and 2" Dobinsons and 1.5" spacer in the rear. Will let you know. Most of the people avoid 3" lift due to Upper Control Arm rubbing on the strut and problems with the wheel alignment afterwards

    Rear diff lock actuator rebuild

Much appreciated - decided to give back to comunity as I wouldn't have done it without the resources mentioned, so credit goes there. Tested it in the woods this evening - on the soaked soil it proved it's a wonderfull machine

    Rear diff lock actuator rebuild

Hey Gents, I hope this helps whomever decides to go through this - took me about 13-15 hours to get this done (+ IDK how many hours of research) In last week I went over the headache of rear diff lock not working. I could hear the actuator when switching diff lock ON and OFF but the red light...
