The HDJ 80 have 3 locked diff, but electric. You need to engage before the difficult. The range have open diff, not very well in this situation, and my LJ 70 have powertrac in front (lock automatic mechanical diff) and LSD in rear.
For me the best swap is the 1KZT with pump mechanic, pressure 1bar, intercooler, the torque is good, the consummation very cool. the V8 is only for the noise, the engine is complexe, the starter isn't accessible. A lot electronic
Yes @Shayne, you're right, the big winch is for my friends. But sometime i used my winch but, the weight of my car is more 3T500. You can see in my channel on youtube, i don't do competition but the road is very hard.

The FJ40 is realy nice, good engine with a monster torque. I think in 1979 it was the very good 4x4. My 80 is very fantastic, you can do what 's you want with, the long road, camping, offroad very hard with 3 lockers, and my car have portal axles.
