Always worth looking at these in context. It looks like the shocks have over heated, probably because the springs weren't man enough for the load resulting in excessive stain on the bush. Do you have more details on the spec of the truck and suspension setup?

It is unlikely the problem will be in the gearbox, more likely the drive line. Check the universal joints in the prop shafts as well as check for play in the drive flanges on the front hubs.

Pump guys will only ever set the pumps back to factory defaults, you can only really 'tune' the pumps on the engine.
