1993 Landcruiser KZJ70 3-litre for sale - very rare opportunity

129,000 miles; MOT July 2013, Tax May2013. Asking £2,950 OVNO Toyota only sold 380 of these extremely capable vehicles here and it's believed that fewer than 200 are left. It has the KZT 3.0 litre turbo-diesel engine which delivers 125bhp, and 215 lb/ft of torque at 2,000 revs. Mechanicals...

    Help! Fuel tank falling out?

Having driven through a flood this morning in my KZJ70, one of the two metal straps under the fuel tank broke near the front joint (pretty corroded) and dangled on the road. I very gingerly tied it up out of the way and drove slowly home with - apparently - no further damage. Question: are the...

    Tyres

As my faithful KZJ passed its MOT yesterday at no cost I want to treat it to a new set of boots. The last lot are eight years and 35,000 miles old and have been great - 31x10.50x15 Kumho Road Venture ATs. They cost me about £60 a corner in 2004. I'm amazed by the internet prices of tyres now...

    The dreaded rot . . .

Two problems with my KZJ which I'd appreciate some advice about. 1) The fuel tank guard is rusting away - indeed it's gone in a couple of places. Can I get a new one/second-hand one easily? And (because I've never had occasion to take the tank out) is the tank supported by the guard and the...

    Windscreens and glass

Just had my windscreen replaced pre-MOT. The fitter said that 70 series screens were becoming hard to get hold of - took 4 days to acquire mine apparently. Just a heads-up. If you have a spare one hang on to it!

    Rear brake drum removal.

This is only a small thing, and I've posted about it on another forum, but I thought I'd mention it here in case anyone else comes across the same problem - namely, getting those brake drums off. The nearside one on my KZJ wouldn't budge, and one of the convenient m10 tapped holes in the face...

    Niggly little things

Just getting the KZT ready for it's MOT. Handbrake cable swivel on the rear axle had siezed so only the nearside was locking up - bolts and bush all rusted up, and sheared when I tried to undo them. Drilled out and made a new arm bush from some nylon tube, made a new pivot assembly from bits...

    My 70

I've finally got onto Photobucket, so let's see if I can publish a photo of my KZJ:

    Evening . . .

I'm John, and I live in Norfolk in a hamlet between Norwich and Fakenham. I bought my 1994 swb 70 series KZT in 2003 with 74,000 miles on it, and it is the most reliable, most versatile vehicle I've ever owned (and I'm 61, so I've owned quite a few). It now has 124,000 on the clock, has never...
