    fuel gauge

My low level light doesn't work any more. I know for sure, because I ran the cruiser dry :) It is a 94. I tested the bulb, it works. But once it is in the dash, I can't get it to work. Even if I apply current to the ciruits... Any ideas? Is my dash faulty?

Milner 80 series power window replacement parts

Just a quick question, it is the same for all 4 doors? On the website of Milner, it only states FRONT L or R.

    Speakers front and back. Suggestions.

I you want to fit speakers in the rear doors and want to keep the original grille, you can cut out the plastic surrounding and put your new speakers in: I then folded the brackets of the speaker backwards and fastened it with some self tapping screws in the plastic surrounding. You can...

I know the problem... I've seen it on a lot of 80's. Some worse then others. Then we did something similar: And then this :)

    Rear spring coils

You can look at OME 864 or OME 868 springs. OME 864 is constant +400kg and the 686 is constant +600kg. Old Man Emu is a brand from ARB and has a good reputation.

    Adjusting 80 series steering box

That I don't know, maybe you can order the bigger shaft seperately... @clivehorridge: what did you do to shear off the shaft?? Well, just finished the job this morning. I must say, it is a totally different car to drive. There is no play in the steering wheel. It steers as sharp as a knife now...

    Adjusting 80 series steering box

Replaced the steering box this weekend. Everything went great... until we discovered the pitman arm doesn't fit the new steering box. Apparentely Toyota upgraded the steering boxes and used a bigger shaft in the 105. If you order a new one now, it has the upgraded shaft. So I ordered a new...

    Adjusting 80 series steering box

I know a rebuilt can be cheaper but the gears inside that cause the free play in the steering wheel, aren't replaced with a rebuilt one (at least not here). A rebuilt one costs €1200 over here... and you have to send you old unit in. So a new one was my only certainty

    Adjusting 80 series steering box

    WeatherStrip - HDJ81V

I also often use Partsouq, but if they have nothing, maybe your local Toyota dealer. Some items are not available anymore at Partsouq, but they are at my local Toyota dealer. And sometimes vice versa.

    Sopping wet passenger side footwell

Just want to share that the FSM says you have to apply sealant between rubber and body and between rubber and glas. Toyota used just a small amount of sealant and in time it will dry out. I have an original Toyota windsceen and if you pull the rubber up you can see that there once was something...

    Adjusting 80 series steering box

I tried the steps a couple of times the past 12 months, but my steering box is definitely worn uneven. Turning is now at the stiffest, but in the middle there is still 4-5cm play. If I thighten more, the steering wheel won't come back to the center. The steering shaft, coming from the steering...

ATF overheating in the Alps - Help

Just charing my experience here: the extra original oil cooler is a must when going into the mountains with a heavy loaded 80 series. But even then, when doing very long climbs, even in selected 2nd gear, the automatic transmission will heat up. (On the mainland the extra original oil cooler was...
