I am fitting a 100 Series FR rack to my 80 and am selling the left over bits. Looks like the roof rails and all the gubbins that attach the top of the rack to the car.
Might be of use if you are fabricating your own rack as I imagine these bits would be tricky to make. You can make the flat bit...
Just received legs for my roof rack from Front Runner. Each individual item had a card like this in it. i thought it was a nice human touch...or am I a bit soft?
The European Front Runner importer in Belgium was very helpful and efficient seeing as i was just after a set of legs to enable me to...
I have just refurbished all 4 calipers and thought I would share the following guidance and pictures to assist.
Step 1:
Remove all 4 calipers and inspect
They looked like something off the Titanic which is funny as the vehicle appeared to be stopping relatively ok-ish
Step 2...
I have just removed the OEM roof rack off the Great White and thought I would share a few pics. This is not, I repeat NOT a shameless link to the items for sale section....
The roof liner on the later 80's is a solid sheet of hardboard and is easy to take down. The rack has 6 fixing points...
I am sure i have seen the OEM and Anyama part numbers listed on a thread somewhere but I can't find them. Would someone please post them or point me to the thread? Thanks in anticipation.
Some scroat had a go at my drivers door lock the other day. Didn't get in but made a right mess of the lock.
I spoke to Simon at Steven Eagle (who despite his promotion is still as helpful as before) fully expecting "not available or have to be sent from Japan and cost a million quid".
No, new...
It would inevitably begin once the 25 year period had elapsed

The second post is interesting 12 bought in Portugal and to be sold in the states for $8-12k. This will no doubt have a knock-on effect for...
Stumbled across this in the current Bring A Trailer Auction. Thought it might be of interest to some of the American members or an importer!

Thanks to all the responses that confirmed the "mod" was not a mod but a bodge. So I set about fixing. Thought I would post this and hope it is not too "newbie" for the engineers out there. Not sure why my images are 90 degrees rotated they are right way up in my computer- help please!

I am still a bit new to this, so go easy. On my recently acquired 80 there is this device holding the rear passenger window in place. Whilst to the uninitiated it appears to be a simple plastic sucker (as used to stick Garfield's and other annoying gonks to the windows of Novas in the early...
My ABS light is on. I had traced it to some damaged wires to the rear ABS sensor. Fixed these but light still on. i have had a look at the FSM's listed but this does not seem to have the wiring from ABS in it.
Have i missed it or can someone point me in right direction please.
Also is there...

Just picked up an 80 (1994 12v manual). Think it needs shockers all-round so thought might as well go for a kit and these seem reasonable.
Anyone out there fitted one and done some miles?
Well waste a lot of fecking time!
I have been looking for an 80 for some few months now gradually getting more serious. Sold my Vito in November to free up the £ and been running round in an 04 hilux work truck since. Not a massive chore but a bit of a donkey..
Looking in all the usual places...
In my search for a late Manual 80 (white if possible) I seem to be unearthing everything but.
What looks from the pictures and description like a very nice 100 Manual VX in Red is going through British Car Auctions at Brighouse tomorrow. 10 am kick off.
Full dealer service history etc....
