Hello, I have a 2005 LC3 D4D it’s done 195k have had it from new just don’t want to sell it but in last year it has been on motorway and just cut out first time it started then went again, would not start as if it was fuel Toyota changed immobiliser said that was problem ran for 6 months and it’s just done it again cut out whilst idling in drive through costa with a que cut out would not start Toyota said it just needed resetting does anyone know if immobiliser can be removed and if so who can do it as it may save me having to sell it, just read a lot about spill valves wondered if that’s the real problem if it has one any help welcome

Time to get a ECU reader and check yourself, maybe just the batteries

There are a few threads on here, look for techstream and vci cables. Depending on year and model you need specific cables ( and software depending on what version of Windows your laptop has ). It's all in about a £20 to £30 expense, but you just need to do your due diligence to get the right thing.

Thanks very helpful cheers
