Hello Jim & welcome to the club .I'ts still the 3rd of July here so your'e a bit previous .It looks like you've bought a Unicorn Landcruiser so what is the backstory? excellent first post BTW plenty of pictures :)

This is all according to the gentleman I purchased it from. He ordered it new in 1989 fully loaded plus from Toyota. He received the vehicle in early 1990. He was transferred in his job to the U.S. in that same year.Going back and forth from Australia to Chicago land area every few months. In 1992 had the vehicle shipped to the u.s. Where he had the required work done to make it legal to title in the U.S._

There it sat for 30 years in the garage until I purchased it from him a few months ago. I had it fully inspected and serviced. Right hand drive and the air blows freezing!!!! Fun as heck to drive!!!

Any info anyone can help with is appreciated.

Jim

Utterly gorgeous and full of great little details.

Wow!! Welcome Jim, looks like you saved up all your Christmasses and birthdays to arrive all at once. That has to be one of a kind and very interesting indeed. The AC probably blows cold as I’m guessing it’s still got R12 gas in it. Don’t be tempted to change this unless you have to. R12 is a big molecule and doesn’t escape through non rotating shaft seals like 134A does.
As said, great first post and super pics.
I’ll bet you have the biggest ‘cruiser grin’ just knowing that you’re the owner of what is a museum quality vehicle. Hope you have many happy years of motoring and thanks for sharing with us. ‘She’s a beaut’ or more like ‘She’s a Doosy’.

Its a Doosy!! Great line. I just explained to my son why my they used to say that all the time. Thanks everybody. I was trying to insure it with Haggerty. They are valuing it at a crazy amount. Alot of restrictions as to storage.

Thanks again everyone
Jim

Beautiful example pity there are not many in the world like yours got to ask did you get the swing out carrier with it as with the front bumper it looks like it would survive a newclear attack
