Hi-I found your forum doing some searches on FJ80s. I’m considering purchasing a 1994 FJ80, and am hoping to get some advice. The 80 has 208,000 and is “running rich” and has a hard time with cold starts. From what I’ve researched it could be O2 sensors, Air Flow Meter, vacuum lines, or a cracked intake tube. The current owner feels confident that it’s not vacuum lines and he has replaced the intake tube. He is asking $3k as-is.

Any advice on how to diagnose and any red flags to look out for? Thanks in advance!

Here’s all of the info I currently have from the owner:
Codes say too lean and too rich and that basically refers you to the fuel injection/ air intake system. I checked it for vacuum leaks with no results. Everything seems tight. I replaced the intake tube from the MAF to the throttle body with no results. I doubt it’s a vacuum leak if that helps. I tried replacing the Oem MAF meter with a cheap one but it didn’t work, I’m guessing it’s a mix of O2 sensors and needing a new MAF meter made by Toyota if I had to guess.
