" 2 Batterien ist das nötig ? Für was ?

Warum habe ich eigentlich 2 Batterien in meinem J95. Brauche ich sie und wenn ja, wofür ? Ich habe keinen Winde und benutze nur die Klimaanlage und dafür brauche für keine 2 Batterien, die so groß sind. Funktioniert das "Starten", wenn ich eine entferne?

Ja, Sie können die Slave-Batterie abklemmen. Zum Starten des Motors sind nur 12 Volt von einer Batterie erforderlich.

ke Nad Hallo ,habe die Slave entfernt aber er startet sehr gequält , Slave wieder eingebaut und perfect !!!
Die Master Batterie war auch noch neu ,1 Woche alt .
Mit zweien zieht er beim Start besser durch !!

Ich denke, dass dies auf ein Problem irgendwo im System hinweist. Es sollte mit nur einer Batterie einwandfrei funktionieren. Ich würde alle Verbindungen gründlich prüfen und reinigen und die Spannung und Kapazität der Hauptbatterie messen.

So whats the advantage to taking the battery off? Do you want the extra space for a leisure battery or something?

Remember the batteries are in parallel so they are both electrically equal rather than master/slave.

With one battery you will only have half the CCA to start the engine that you had with two. Both batteries need to be a matched pair and the same sort of condition - ie capable of similar CCA output.

Even if your climate isnt cold enough to need the extra CCA to turn the engine over, you might be glad of the extra amp hours if you leave your lights on etc

Virtually every motor vehicle ever made only has one battery. Adding a second only introduces additional issues. Two battery systems work fine, when they're working. But when they don't, they can cripple you and leave you stranded. It's a very regular occurrence with both the parallel battery set up (slave as the second battery is not fed directly by the alternator) and the 24 volt set up on the 80 series. If one battery goes down, it affects the whole starting system.
