Its hard to put a price on it as I have done so much work on the truck.
Its expedition ready.
I have owned it for 3 years and I knew the previous 2 owners (there ownership spanned 5 years) and they just used it on the motorway.
I use it for tree work and towing a mobile saw mill- but it only tows this a few days a fortnight.
I have been to Morocco with it using it as a Rally support vehicle carrying a 450 enduro on a rear mounted rack.
This set up was excellent and the only reason for selling it is I have a bigger truck for this use now and for work I am getting an old fj40 as I don't do huge mileage and have been obsessed by them since travelling across Australia with one.
This truck has been my pride and joy and I will probably regret selling it but cant have 2 of em.

I am looking for about =A313,500 and may split further gear at a later stage

Also for sale;

Rear Motorbike rack to fit on the above - will carry 450 enduro bike =A3 500
Eezi Awn Roof Tent =A3 550

Any questions please ask and I will send photos on request.
I am hoping to be at the April meeting if anyone wants to view it.

Thanks

Gareth

Good to hear your staying with LC's and adding a 40 series to the ELCO
subscribers, the 80 series sound great - wish I could find it a home here.

Sounds excellent and I hope you find a good home for it.
Sadly, it's well outside my budget :-(

Oh, now I see why you call it l'beast !!!
Anyways, how's it going? Any further progress with your list of 26 things
to do? I hope you will be ready to go somewhere really nice before too
long.

Very slowly...the more I do on it the more that needs doing...its a paradox!
One day I hope to travel to the white wastes of the Artic Circle to see those wonderful Aurorae Borealis.
Its only 'very slowly' because I'm attempting to do most of it myself...for a novice mechanic like myself with no garage its almost impossible and an extremely daunting task! There is no other ELCO guy or gal who finds it as hard as me...
I'm always focussed on Nord Afrique but maybe I should learn to walk again before I run...
As a researcher its an "ongoing project" - which will never be finished...

I sympathise Renate.
I'm equally bad at vehicle maintenance and also have no facilities. It's a
complete pain. If we were closer I'd suggest pooling our meager resources.

Hi Renate/Pete,
I sympathise too, while I do have the facilities and the will,
unfortunately I don't have the ability or the knowledge (back problems, I
can get down underneath, it's the getting up again that's the problem) Thank
God for Julian!
