Mines a bit uneven too,, about 1/2 inch lower on the drivers side then
the passenger side. I was told it was due to the springs settling, and
since I hardly ever have passengers, the driver side is a little lower,
I was told it was quite normal for one side to be either a little higher
or lower than the other. even though I load up equally.
45-50 is when mine goes into '5th'
Cheers,
Renate,

Hi Guys
I have only two questions today for you all. while looking out the
window at
the cruiser today and reading some threads from another forum about
some guy
having a problem when he installed OME springs. He noticed that his
cruiser
did not sit level and of course he checked every thing again and
again.
While looking at mine it looked a little uneven, I thought it was the
window
sill but then checked the cruiser. There is a difference of 20mm in the
difference between the driver and passenger side, the driver side being
higher by the 20 mm. Is this normal, some sort of reason like when the
driver gets in it levels out. What speed does your auto box change into
fifth, mine changes at 50 MPH.

Hi Renate,Roman, Julian.
Thanks for that info. It was just bugging me so I had to ask. Roman not a
hope of me taking springs off and checking them. Im still looking into
getting the OME ones and I have nearly got them then all I need is a guy to
fit them. I ordered a load of stuff from difflock and it only cost ?35 to
deliver which included ramps and other stuff and of course 5 litres of
Millers which I cant get here. So all in all I think I did well.. No I
haven't got fed up with messing with the cruiser not at all but I have
limitations both in mind and body, the mind may be willing but the body
aint. I did however change the diff oil three times untill it ran clear to
get rid of all that gunk that was there from when the inner seal failed. I
changed the gearbox oil four times to completly give it a good flush, the
transfer box aswell. It even passed the NCT retest so all in all im happy
for another two years untill the next test.
Julian ill get the wife to measure the level when im in it and see, i tried
to do it my self but I wasen't quick enough to do both.

Hi John,
Don't you have a sack of potatoes lying around that you could put in the
drivers seat ;-)
