Hi Guys
As you all know the cruiser went for its test and am in the prosess of
having things done . I have meant to bring this up for a while but keep
forgatting untill now. While driving on the roads with the windows up I can
hear no noise other than the normal ones. When The window id down on the
drivers side I can hear a faint noise like a chain trailing on the ground
from some wher under the cruiser. When I open the passenger window when it
decides to let me I hear the same noise but louder than when I hear it on my
side. The thing is I reakon that it louder on the near side because of the
closer proxsimity t o the curb or buildings wall etc. I have checked for a
chain or any other thing under the cruiser but cant find anything wrong and
the test showed up nothing. The noise is there even in free flow, with the
foot off the trottle when moving. So Ithink it would be there if I turned
off the engine while moving but will not try this as every thing would go
dead on me. Any ideas on this, icould it be because of the diff oil coming
out of the seal.
Thanks

Hi John,
It really could be anything.
Does the noise vary with road speed?
Try driving along a narrow lane with walls/hedges either side with all
windows open to see if you can pin it down further.
Does it vary if you go round sharp corners?
Do you get any noise if you reverse whilst turning hard left or hard
right?
Also, check within your alloys - I have found some reasonably sized
stones rolling around between the inside of the alloy and the brake
disk that would give that chain dragging sort of noise.
