80 wheel carrier - do I need to worry?

I just found this loose screw and another hole nearby (?drainage?) on my rear wheel carrier on the underside of the hinge on the rear pillar. It is resisting being screwed back in. What does it do? Do I need to worry ?

That just holds the cover on i think, the carrier it's self is bolted through the panel.

Yep just the cover.

And have I lost a screw already or is there just the one?
