Hi,
In response to the recent posts, new members (and some old!) please can
you try to adhere to the following basic guidelines.
1. Don't post messages to the list in HTML format - please always set
your email program to send to the list in plain text format. The
following page should help you - if you have a mail program not on the
list let me know and I'll dig out some instructions for you - either
that or do some research on Google, it shouldn't take you long to find
the info.

2. Please trim your posts - if your email program automatically
includes the message you are replying to at the bottom of the reply -
please delete it. Only retain the actual bits of the message you are
replying to with your comments inserted.
3. When posting a new subject to the list, please start a new message
from scratch as opposed to replying to someone else's message and then
changing the subject. This messes up the message threading for those
of us using email programs that support it. You can find out more
here:
http://www.landcruisers.info/lists/list_threading.html
4. If you are new to the list, please post a brief introductory
message. Don't be shy about it!! Even if you just intend to lurk in
the background it is nice to know who is there.
If you haven't posted an introductory message yet, please do so.
5. When posting a message, please also include a signature giving your
name, location and make and model of vehicle.
6. When replying to a message you have read in the daily Digest, please
do not just hit reply, please start a new message to the list and copy
the subject across to it.
The main purpose of these guidelines is to ensure that everyone can
access your messages, it keeps bandwidth requirements down to a minimum
and also makes it a lot easier for those reading the list in digest
mode.
To get an idea of what can happen if you don't trim your posts or send
the messages in Text format, take a look at what users on the digest
version have to put up with -

These are pretty simple rules and pretty standard for mailing lists so
pleasse try to follow them.
That's all for now ;-)
