[ADMIN] Posting to the list

Morning All,
Just a couple of reminders about posting to the list:
Please don't send any attachments - I cannot stop them via the list
software at the moment, so please just try to avoid it. If you want to
show people pics, there are a number of free sites around with the
facilities for this - just take a look on Google.
If you are starting a new thread, please do so by creating a completely
new mail message, rather than replying to an existing one and then
changing the subject line - doing so makes a mess of the threading - Mr
Byrne, you are the worst offender!!
Finally, if you want to post long URLs to the list, try to use the
facilities at http://tinyurl.com/ - if you use a browser like FireFox
you can actually get an Extension to make this a lot easier.
Progress on the new list software has finally started, all being well I
should be moving you over to it at the end of the month.

Welcome to all the newbies that have subsribed to the list over the
last few weeks - we have had over 50 new members since the middle of
October.
I have noticed that some of you have been posting messages to the list
in HTML format, unfortunately this tripples the size of messages being
sent to the list and also causes problems with Digest that is sent out
each night.
To ensure that you send messages to the list in straight text format -
add the list address in to your addressbook and then select the option
to send messages in text format only.
If you need any help with the configuration, drop me a line off list
and I will send you some guidance notes.
