[ADMIN] Wrist Slap - name and shame!!!

Hi,
Just a quick wrist slap to Darrin and Simon.
When posting new messages to the list, please actually start a new
message, rather than reply to one and then change the subject to suit
your requirements.
If you don't start a new message you end up breaking the threading of
the messages.
Over and out.

Sorry I have no idea what you mean Julian? Explain the "threading" bit
again.
All the best

Sorry, I only accept slaps by people in leathers and feathers.

Hi Simon,
I have thrown up a brief explanation at:
http://www.landcruisers.info/lists/list_threading.html
When you posted your message about suspension, you should have created
a new message from scratch, but instead you replied to my response to
Gareth's message about 'Service hints/Fuel Filter changes' - as a
result your message about your suspension appears under the thread
'Service hints/Fuel Filter changes' when it should have been the start
of a new thread.
Fortunately I can 'fix' it in my mail programs, but other programs
can't.
If you have the ELCO address in your address book it is actually
generally quicker to post a new message from scratch as the
intellisense in the mail program should be able to stick in the email
address after you have typed the first couple of letters of the address
- this is generally quicker than finding a message from the list,
replying to it, deleting the old subject, typing your subject, etc.
