Looks like the usual fun and games. Who's is the blue Hilux? I need to pick your brains.... ;-)

LOL! Didn't realise that was Chris' one... aha! (Chris, sorry - will be hassling you again shortly...)

Back home now. Great little meet. The show was the usual but the company excellent. Good to see you all. Till the next one.

In summary. Well attended but not quite as many visitors / campers as Spring. But plenty. Lots of big trucks. More variety on the vendors but not much choice ie different stuff just not much of it. There are so many things that need to be there. More on batteries, tyres, charging and electrical, solar, water, bag making, drawer sliders, lighting etc. Less BBQs for goodness sake.

Plenty of food choices for those overlanders too lazy to cook. Super weather on Sat, but lashed it down this morning. Then got out nice. Hoped to see a few more members there but we held the fort. This morning, amazing to see how many Landies there were with their bonnets up. Wouldn't start. Jump leads, packs, tow straps. Eh dear me. Ha da chap next to me who just told me tales all weekend of the breakdowns he's had. There is an answer to that isn't there.

Chris........ I don't remember breaking down!!!

Cheers guys, thanks for the company..... very enjoyable.

We came just for the day on Saturday, didn't bring the 80 camper as we popped down in the Porka.

The usual disorganisation ensued as we entered the ground, marshall's falling out on their radios was comical, I got a little 'excited' after being asked by the 10th marshall who stopped us and asked "have you got a ticket". I then got a finger wagging for going too fast and was told "it's 5mph".... then got moaned at for going too slow.

Enjoyed mooching round the vehicles, as always a great variety to look at. I couldn't help thinking that many vehicles there were just 'show queens' and, like their owners, don't actually go on any adventures apart from shows.

There we're not enough trade stalls there. The show should have been a great place for traders to peddle their wears.... clearly for some reason they decided not to attend.
