Advice about currency in Morocco please

Sorry Julian, no Landcruiser content, but I know there is a lot of experience out there...

.=2E. my daughter is off on a school trekking holiday in the Atlas Mountains this half term. What is the best form of currency to take to Morocco for casual spending money? Pounds? Euros? Dollars? Travellers' cheques?

All advice welcome.

Thanks

Christopher Bell

Christopher,
Most of Africa, including Morocco of course, is now switched to euro.
In Morocco, plastic is also widely in use.

You can change =C2=A3s and =E2=82=ACs into Dirhams at the airport on arrival and exchange
rates are strictly controlled by the government so everyone's rate is the
same.
As Roman said plenty of Atms but they restrict you usually to a certain
amount, but it is plenty to be getting on with.

Thanks. That makes life easier - I have some Euros left over from a
summer holiday, and we'll give her some sterling too.
I'm really envious - it's a school trip trekking in the Atlas mountains.
