Hi all
Could any of you's guide me with some help/advice on doing an engine swap
I have a 1990 LJ70 2.4 turbo diesel 2lt engine and want to swap it with a 1KZ-T 3.0 engine??

Thanks

There’s seems to be a bit of a trend going on here , Irish 70 series owners looking to swap out the 2.4 for 3.0 , someone must have completed the entire project and share their experiences good and bad !

Got this sent to me from a guy in the uk he done it here’s what he sent me just today ....

Hi there, First thing first you need the 1kz-t engine with bellhousing so you can fit it on your 2lt (R151F) gearbox.
Engine mounts needs to be moved back 4.5cm on the chassis.
You need kzj70 radiator.
Power steering lines.
Kzj70 air box with filter.
Wiring the alternator, oil pressure sensor, mechanical pump. Water temp sensor.
Lets not forget crankshaft oil seal with brand new clutch kit,
New custom made exhaust system.

Hi glark perhaps if you introduce yourself and your truck you can then post up your question in the 70 series section , seems dumb i know but this was the first forum i ever joined and i only learned later that there is suck a thing as forum etiquette .

I can think of 2 members who did the swap you want but niether are daily regulars here .
