Air Con Leak What Does It Smell Like ??

I had my 90's air con re gassed about a month ago, it was leak tested and did not loose any pressure.

Now I have a weird smell in the cab, its like a very sweet gear oil ?,

I thought it was leaking gear oil, but nothing under the car and the smell is only inside the car

The spy glass is now showing half full, i am taking it back tomorrow as he put a UV die in it just in case

But its the smell that's got me worried, could that be air con fluid ?

It’s more likely to be AC oil as the refrigerant is an odourless gas at room temperature and pressure.

AC Oil ? is that something they add to the refrigerant ?

as you can see i know less than nothing about AC

Coolant can smell sweet but wouldn’t cause the AC to be low on gas.

It’s difficult to know what it is without narrowing it down really.
