Al manuals ands EPCs in one convenient place

Hi J
That is very useful however does it say anywhere in there how to fix my ABS
problem????? Currently I have now dismantled the drivers side knuckle and
will re-assemble it tonight with new oil seals, bearings and repacked
birfield. This may make the light go out but I somehow think it wont.
I spoke to the Toyota garage in battersea a guy called Iain who was v
helpful and was appreciative of why I would not want to pay them to replace
the ABS sensors and loom. ?300 + vat. He did not know what to do apart from
trying the old "pulling codes" trick which I have done to no avail..... He
did think that the shim I out in the knuckle could have made a difference so
he said taking the steel shim out from the sensor might be worth having a
go!!!
Will let you all know.

Hi Simon

Me to I'm cursed by ABS problems, but since I overhauled the front
axle the ABS changed from "to dangerous to use remove the dam fuse" to
very usable with some rattle on about to stop on uneven roads. Because
of this and a budget that has to accommodate three daughter's I've
been reticent to buy the front ABS kit (Toyota Pt quote 375 euros).

Hi J
Three daughters? Sounds expensive. I have two young near teenagers and its
getting painful. Especially holidays now that they are considered adults!!
I will get to the bottom of this one way or other but to pass my MOT I have
to pull out the bulb which is hassle as the dash is hard work to dismantle.
All best.

Hi Simon,
'I will get to the bottom of this one way or other but to pass my MOT I have

Be warned that a reasonably switched on MOT tester will fail you if the
light doesn't come on with the ignition - a brief glance under the bonnet
will tell him that the vehicle has abs and so should have a warning lamp.
It might be worth a try - you could get lucky with a dozy tester.
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.
All the best,
Toby
