I have recently purchased a 1996 Colorado VX A 3 Ltr 1KZTE engine

Should this have a key fob for the alarm, as I only have one normal key, it looks like the master key according to the Owner Manual, can I get and program a key fob to activate the allarm.

Also the Aircon fuse is missing and looking further the right hand connector for the fuse is not there, and ideas how I can get the air con working ? do I have to mess around with the fuse box, or can I chase the wire and put a seperate fuse in ?

PHEW Thanks in advance

Hi Graham and welcome. First off, you might want to move this (or copy it, delete it and paste it) into the 90 series section as you’ll get more folks with similar vehicles there.

On the fuse, sounds an odd one TBH.
Forgive the stupid question, but I take it it does have AC? If the wire is there, I’d be tempted to open the fuse box personally but then that’s just me. You can get piggy back fuse connectors that add a circuit with an extra fuse. Like one of these https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https://www.ebay.co.uk/ulk/itm/382981923023
This would be the easiest route, just use the new circuit wire and fuse and leave out the original circuit fuse.

Hi, thanks for your reply, turns out theere is no aircon fluid or pressure in the system, so getting it leak tested and repaired, thanks
