AMAZING MPG AT SPEED 24mpg + at 80mph

500+ miles from 1 fill up

I've been watching fuel usage etc
since jan ive
CLEANED INLET MANIFOLD
BLANKED EGR
USED WYNNS INJECTOR CLEANER
RUN WITH 500ML 2 STROKE FOR EVERY TANK ( prob on tank 8 now )
PUMPED TYRES UP FROM 32PSI TO 36PSI
FITTED AN A-BAR (more weight and drag?)

Today took a friend to cardiff . But as i was not paying for fuel had my foot down all the way .
I was not gentle with the throttle
Route taken , A roads ,M6 ,M5 ,M50 , Dual carridge way , M4 , A roads
and then the reverse route home
Average speed door to door 81mph top speed during journey 105mph for 5mins ish
Total distance 462 miles
total fuel used 86.41 L or 19.01 Gallons
Thats an amazing 24.31mpg @ high speed

OLD FIGURES JAN 2012
501 miles FROM 79.9 litres or 17.57 Gallons = 28.5 MPG SAT AT A STEADY 58/60MPH ON CRUISE
NEW
462 miles FROM 86.41 litres or 19.01 Gallons = 24.31 MPG SAT AT 81+MPH NO CRUISE USED

I am absolutley amazed at the figures
Filled up in the morning and then just now on return same station same pump (brimmed the filler neck both times)
Next test is to do the 60mph 500 mile journey again and see what i get next time
LOOKS LIKE CLEANING ETC HAS MADE ONE HELL OF A DIFFERENCE

It now feels alot more powerful from 80mph +
I think the intlet manifold was being very restrictive

I think you mean your average on the motorway was 81 mph, not really "door to door"

Well, I filled up with diesel just before I got to Tangier Northern Morocco, got the ferry back to Algeciras spent the night at Tarifa in a campsite, then the next day drove from Tarifa to Bilboa with an average speed of 67 miles per hour.
Results 18.45 miles per gallon.
