Hi

I'm in need of advice.

As I was shifting the leaver in to gear 1 something broke and now the leaver is floppy. Cant lock it into gear 3 but still able to shift into all gear positions bur floppy.

Whats broke, and how best to go about fixing the floppy gear shift?

Thanks

Regards

Gary

I is a spring loaded pin in the selector mechanism that has fallen

out due to a crack in the plastic selector arm in the selector assembly

box under the centre consul you can repair it as I have done it happened

to me I would be happy to send you the method if you wish .

I can't search right now, but I have a thread on here where I repaired mine too. There is a chap on Pradopoint who will ship the bits needed for little cost.

Quick and easy repair

HI

Thanks guys, much appreciate the replys.

Dave, If you could send me the method to how to fix it, would be great.

Tony, How do I go about finding the chap on Pradopoint for the parts?

Many thanks.

Just searched and I posted in the maintenance thread:
https://www.landcruiserclub.net/com...aintenance-today.129102/page-100#post-1224422

However the chap you are looking for is AMTS on Pradopoint, and this is the thread there:
http://www.pradopoint.com.au/showthread.php?25297-120-Prado-shift-lever-repair-kit

Very easy to fix.
In one of my previous threads, I also fixed mine.
The replacement pin and spring were about 5.00

Took about an hour to fix, all from the drivers seat.

Don't worry, very easy.

Gra.
