Hi Michel,
Dextron II is the ATF that you need.

Renate, you will find that most people do have autos, just that most of
us are being a bit quiet at the moment ;-)
Cheers,
Julian

Good to know.
I use to put oil additive 10% volume of carter (antifriction) "megaboost" in
the engine, and they say
you can put 3.5% in the ATF , I did and I think it is a mistake !!
Now when I start on second gear I have a little brrrr brrrr vibration .
Some who knows how this ATF works , please tell me it is not damage !
Regards,
Michel.

Either shy or busy - I'm currently in the latter group.
We have around 200 on the list now and I would have thought about 75-
80% of them would be driving autos.

Hi Michel,
Where's the vibration coming from?
Also what do you mean by start on second gear - do you mean start in
position 2 on the auto box?

Hi Lubo,
About 80% of the LCs sold before 1995 were autos, but when they brought the 24 valve out in 1995 they weren't allowed to bring over the auto due to some emissions issues so all the later 80 series were manuals.
However if you want a 24 valve auto you can get them as imports from Japan, however few Japanese models have the factory diff locks and I've not come across any with a 3rd row of seats.
It is possible to transplant an auto box in to a manual, however it's quite a lot of work and it would probably be easier and cheaper to buy an import

Hi Julian
the seats are not issue at all but Japan and you guys drive the
opposite direction and that's a big problem...
thanks for the answer anyway :))))
