this is the way that i install the ply wood to the steel door
i use the same holes and aluminum rivets (u can find also stainless steel but if u need to the future to drill them it will be very hard) with internal thread..the riveter was too expensive and i use one patent with two spanners.the thread is very strong..

Good simple method  , but if you have a large number of riv-nuts to put in it could take you all day :o

That is a very good Job......I like those lights........of down Focus now to get some for my table.

On the subject of riv-nuts I used the plastic push fit ones the same size as the ones that are used to hold down the tread plates on the doors. With a little fiing of the holes that are already there they push straight in. Took me about 15-20 mins to do all the holes.

Great job you have done.

thanks, i prefered aluminum rivets because the thickness of the ply is 6mm and and needs bolts with thread to keep safely to this position under load
the original holes from the steel plate didnt drilled at all..so anytime i can reinstall the old original back
i had this flashlight and when died the battery i kept the 2 led lights..are very strong as u see
